Terms of Service

1. The service

Refire is an AI photo retake app: you give us a photo where the moment was right but the shot wasn't, and we generate alternative takes that keep your face and the scene. The website (refirecam.com) is for information and account management; the retaking happens in the iOS and Android apps.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the app. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for activity under your account.

3. Your photos, your rights

You retain all rights to photos you upload. You grant us a limited, temporary license to process them solely to produce your retakes — a license that ends when the photos are deleted (within 24 hours, per our Privacy Policy).

You may only upload photos you have the right to use. Don't upload photos of other people without their consent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Create deceptive, defamatory, or non-consensual imagery of real people.
• Use retakes to impersonate others or to mislead (including fake identity documents).
• Upload illegal content, or content involving minors in any inappropriate context.
• Abuse the service (automated scraping, credit-farming, reverse engineering).

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

All purchases happen inside the app via the App Store or Google Play. We do not take payment on this website. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in your store settings. Our Refund Policy page explains how refunds work — in short: failed retakes are free, and we don't fight store refunds.

6. AI-generated output

Retakes are generated by AI and may occasionally miss the mark. Images from Gemini-class models carry an invisible SynthID watermark. You're responsible for how you use your retakes — don't present edited photos as unedited where that would deceive.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and on this page before they take effect.
